The southwest face of Nevado Alpamayo (5947 m). According to many mountaineers Alpamayo is the most beautiful peak on Earth. The most popular route of ascent is the Ferary route goint up the ice couloir to the left of the big rock in the middle of the icy southwest face (left); Glacier camp at the base of the southwest face of Alpamayo (right).
